ABout the Civil war
There were many battles in the Civil War. The Union and Confederate armies fought in 10,000 different places. More than three million Americans battled for their beliefs. The estimated amount was over 600,000 people lost their lives. American homes became headquarters. Also, schools became shelters for the dying. In the two days at Shiloh, on the banks of the Tennessee River, more american men fell then all the previous wars combined. the civil war has been given many names. for example "the war between the states", "the war against northern aggression", "the second american revolution", etc. But whatever it was called it was unquestionably the most important event in american history.
